I’m excited to offer a month long nutrition class in Hudson this March! The class will be an intro to whole food nutrition offered from an ancestral diet perspective.
The four part series will include classes on
Foundations of a nutrient dense diet
We will cover a basic understanding of macronutrients and micronutrients, explore why an ancestral template can be a useful framework for building a healthy diet and learn from the work of Weston Price, Francis Pottenger and Arthur Haines.
Understanding the digestive system is crucial to understanding nutrition. We will cover anatomy and physiology. We will learn how the system would ideally work and address common areas of dysfunction
Blood Sugar Regulation
Blood sugar instability is all too common in our lives today. We will learn how the body regulates blood sugar, what can go wrong and strategies for stabilizing blood sugar naturally.
What is myth and what is reality? We will explore our ever-important detoxification pathways and what you can do to best support optimal function.
Each class will include preparatory reading and take home resources.
Participants will come away with a working understanding of these concepts and tools for implementing ideas into daily life. I will also work with each participant to develop a two week meal plan that best supports the nutritional goals of you and your family. This class will make learning about nutrition both interesting and fun!
We will most likely meet Tuesday nights in March (time is somewhat subject to change based on participants schedules) at the Wellness Collective (514 Warren St).
Class is $100 for all four sessions + $10 materials fee.
