The classes i teach center around a modified vinyasa or flowing series of movements that incorporates both standing and floor based poses with an emphasis on alignment and functional movement. Class will also include mindfulness/breathing practice and finish with a series of restorative poses. This is a moderate intensity but warming class, appropriate for many levels of yoga experience including beginners. If you have never done yoga before please get in touch for an introductory session before coming to class.
To me yoga is a love of many years, a refuge, a source of strength and flexibility, an important relaxation practice and a key element along my road to health. I received my yoga teacher training and certification from the amazing and knowledgeable Sondra Loring and Jesse Lee Montague at Satya Yoga in Rhinebeck NY. My classes focus on uniting movement and breath with simple poses and proper alignment. Each class is an opportunity to expand your range of motion and strengthen the reserves needed for handling the rest of life with grace.
